The Path to San Andreas with a Bunch of Dead Men
Well as you know I bought myself GTA: San Andreas for the Xbox/360, and after updating my 360 a month ago it booted up instantly. However there was a time when I was really sick of playing the game, it comes nearly year after beating the xbox version with a 100 percent completion. After realizing that there isn't much of reward after beating the game (unlimited ammo and crappy handling jet on top of Sweet's house) I decided to permanently shelve the game, so much time was wasted. However before the release of GTA4 on there current generation of consoles, I felt like heading back to the state of San Andreas just to get myself ready for the new and improved Liberty City. Thoses of you who played San Andreas for the first xbox have come to realize that the controls were overly convoluted on the original S controller. Now playing the game on the 360 controller, everything is on just unconfortable because trying to hold down the lock-on button, pulling the trigger/fire button, switching between targets and strifing etc... You come to realize that rockstar didn't really put to much though into the xbox controls when porting the game. Hopefully the controls for the GTA4 aren't as difficult then they were before.
Looking back at Jeff Gerstmann's review on this game, I feel that he let some of his personal expectations get in the way of his professionalism. He acted as if the game killed his entire family and proceeded to take a dump inside their skulls or something. Yes the game has come glitches and yes the game doesn't really look as good compared to some of the current-gen games out there. But in the sea of military/space/military space shooter out there, Kane and Lynch decide to do something diffirent. You're not perfect soldier who looks can make the ladies swooning over you and does heroic things; they're ugly people who do ugly things in some what of realistic world. I couldn't help but feel fascinated by Kane who you can't really tell what exactly what he is after; was it redemption for past sins or petty theft and more backstabbing against former partners. Lynch is just a f**k-up who can't be trusted with a simple task but you'll like to know more about him because at times he acts like a moral compass towards Kane and vise versa. Like another game release at the same time as Kane & Lynch (Assassin's Creed) it's one of those games whether you going to love or hate; I happened to enjoy this game and hope that they do make a sequel with improvement the controls (which aren't as flawed as you would think).
Another game I'm about to sink my teeth into is The Matrix: Path of Neo which I missed the first time around it came out. It was only $9.99 at the video store that I rent at and I got it for the xbox/360 because I didn't see the PS2 version.
And that is it for now, I'm starting the drawing that most of the people requested.
